Magnum 775 Planetary Gearmotor $74 Each

Hi Guys,
In an effort to help out various builders and encourage new builders, I'm looking at supplying these for $74.00 each (which includes GST if you are in Australia or $67.27 each if you are not)

So all you will have to pay is the cost + shipping.

I will make them available on my web site to purchase as a pre-order. They should be delivered around mid June when my next container arrives. You will be able to order as many as you want and I will also bring in a couple extra for spares for those that miss out.

I've currently also got some Planetary gearheads on my site for sale, and while they offer much higher torque than the 775's do they are more an industrial type gearhead with lower rpm's and really, untested in robotic combat.

You can check out my page at www.motiondynamics.com.au

I can also help with bulk buying/shipping and stocking of parts for robowars members.

There is also a Magnum 540 Available for $67

As an ADDED BONUS, THERE WILL BE FREE SHIPPING WITHIN AUSTRALIA FOR THOSE THAT PRE-ORDER!!!! [/b]

It includes the motor too. It's a RS-775 copy.

You can Pre-order here. When the stock comes in the goods will be shipped, any I have left will stay on the site until sold out.

At a guess badly.
it does not appear to run drills at pull power and they are 540-550 size from memory.
I am not even sure about running them off an IBC.

Hmmm any ideas what sort of current would pulling size dosen't necessarily mean it pulls more power.

Depends on what model of RS775 it is, but Banebots sell the following spec'd ones:

Performance
Model M5-RS775-12
Operating v : 6v - 18v
Nominal v : 12v
No Load RPM : 7300
No Load A : 1.1A
Stall Torque : 61.1 oz-in 431.5 mN-m
Stall Current : 30A
Kt : 2.04 oz-in/A 14.4 mN-m/A
Kv : 608 rpm/V
Efficiency : 76.8%
RPM - Peak Eff : 7300
Torque - Peak Eff : 11.69 oz-in/A 82.6 mN-m
Current - Peak Eff : 5.7A

Only 30A *Stalled* ? 360 watts (@12v) ? An IBC would handle that easily unless you were overvolting them a fair bit. I dont know what the Sabretooth can do..

I've seen 550 size motors that stall at 50-70 amps (although I cant remember at what voltage that was at). 30A seems a bit low for a 775 sized motor unless its a high-voltage wind being run at lower voltage for longevity or something.

I'm guessing if you were going to carry the weight of '775 motors you would probably want more than 360 watts of power out of them and would be likely to overvolt them though, which would push the stall current up and possibly put them more into Victor/Sidewinder territory.

Looks like quite an underpowered rs750.
The other one banebots has on there website has the following specs and much more like i would expect. Similar operating voltage range but nominal 12v instead of 18
Model M5-RS775-18
Operating v : 6v - 20v
Nominal v : 18v
No Load RPM : 19500
No Load A : 2.7A
Stall Torque : 166.4 oz-in 1175 mN-m
Stall Current : 130A
Kt : 1.28 oz-in/A 9 mN-m/A
Kv : 1083 rpm/V
Efficiency : 78%

anyone have a data sheet on the motor used on the magnums by default? not sure if its on any websites
