Servo arrived today, might have to hack up a quick beetleweight for this weekend to test it out Smile

Well, first thing you gotta do when you get some thing new is pull it apart!





It's a bit noisy for a servo and the range seems to only be around 100 degrees, but it looks like it will do the job. On a side note, it looks super simple to convert to continuous rotation, I reckon with the servo boards removed, a ESCheap10 soldered up to it and with a beefier RS380 motor on 4S, it would be a pretty bullet proof drive setup for beetleweights.

Probably about $80 - $100 by the time you source two servos, two ESCheap10's and some higher powered RS-380 motors.

Decided to get a wriggle on with my beetleweight design, had 3 goes at getting it in the weight limit and have now arrived at this....

Bi-Winning


Chassis/Armour: 3.2mm Hardox 450, 1.8mm saw blade, 3mm HDPE
Weapon: Wedge infused with Tiger Blood
Drive: 1000rpm gearmotors @ 5S with 1 5/8 Colson wheels.
Controllers: ESCheap10's
Batteries: 5S 360mah 20C LiPol
Notes: Invertible Beetleweight Cluster bot! Does 7 gram rocks Cool
