Yes the mitre 10 valve will work but IIRC it took quite a few seconds for daniels coke bottle lifter to raise up. It wasn't really a flipper. It also has a very small valve I think its like 2mm in diameter so that was the limiting factor. Not sure how air tight it was but I think in daniels case he filled it up like 30seconds before the fight so wasn't a big issue.

If i use that valve does that mean i need to use a seperate way to retract the arm? And what is the solenoid in the truck originally used for? I would love to buy a 3/2 or 5/2 valve from someone for cheap.

The leverage ratio will vary throughout the stroke...but you should get a good approx by dividing the flipper tip travel by the rams stroke.
IE ..Flipper tip travel shut /open 420mm ...ram stroke 140mm
420/140 = 3 to 1
The ebay 5/2 valve is ...IMO... a good match for your ram.
You'd get approx 14 ram activations ...extend and retract... @ 10 bar from a 3.5 ounce paintball bottle.

I'd start off with the fire extinguisher filled with compressed air. Pump it up to 150psi and off your go. Air isn't as good as CO2, but it's very easy, a bit safer and you can probably use it with all the garden valve equipment. _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

Why?
Your 14 years old and this is your first bot ...why not just make a simple brick ... have some fun on the bot scene ...at a reasonable cost...gain experience ...then progress
I'd strongly recommend that
if
your going to use co2 that you copy an existing std setup based on paintball equipment ... see pic...but with a buffer tank.
Cheers Woody.

20oz / 0.6kg co2 bottles are the biggest you'll squeeze into a feather.

I've found that ...over here ..the valves are difficult to obtain.
Internal Pic of Philips bot Marauder with 0.6kg bottles .
An optimist will tell you the glass is half-full; the pessimist, half-empty; and the bot builder will tell you that there is just to much glass.

1 thing i dont understand is... Does it start with 1.5kg or is it after you fill it up? I was just thinking of pumping air into it to 145 psi then testing. _________________ Viggy!
