Queensland Robotic Sports Club Inc (QRSC)
The Queensland Robotic Sports Culb (QRSC) has now been incorparated as of the 14th of December, 2007. The club charter lists the advancment of all robotic sports in Queenland, not just robotic combat. This means that we will be looking at including Sumo, Beam, Robo-1 and other such robotic events into our competitions in the future.
Officers are:
President - Daniel Kerrison
Secratary - Andrew Kerrison
Treasurer - Marto
We currently have 9 members in the book.
Our first goal as a club is to finish procuring the funding for an arena. We currently have about 4 public venues interested in holding an event but all of them require a finished arena before a date can be set. Funding for the arena is in the hands of the Ideas Festival but if that falls through we also have begun looking into goverment grants.
The arena design is currently being finalized and full plans will be avaliable soon for everyone to inspect. The price spreadsheet we sent to the Ideas Festival come out to $4980 (including about $800 truck rental).
The second goal to aquire insurance for the events. Andrew already has all the details on this and will fill everyone in when he comes back from the Philipines in mid january.
Once these two messy details are finished we can start having fun.

Carve the way and you make it easier for the other states to follow. Cheers. _________________ They say that he crossed the fine line, from insanity to genius.

Well another step closer to that grant. The Queensland Robotic Sports Club inc now has an ABN. Now I just need to fill in the rest of this paperwork. _________________ Get Some!!!

congrats guys.
so this will mean you are using an unmodified RFL rule set for ideas fest?
as a side message now u are rfl u might want to get the ideas fest event thread on there forum moved from non rfl events if u can
dunno if anyone else has done it but just registered QRSC@live.com.au.
Going to register QRSC.info and set up a wiki. As well. QRSC.org is taken and .org.au needs ABN which I don't know. _________________ Steven Martin

Can everyone please register, then I will turn off new user registration. So we don't get anyone vandalising the website.
Also please edit it and put up any info we should have. Obviously most information will be posted on here but if we can just update the front page every few months should be good.
If anyone finds a nice theme let me know. As the current one is a bit boring. _________________ Steven Martin
