Without heatshrink, please. This will give a better comparison with the B328. I am particularly looking at the 10A speedos for antweights. Much of the wire would be shortened affecting the weight.

Short wires and no heatshrink

No power wires 3.68g

No wires + Cap removed (if running in a pair with wires going from one to the other this is fine, also can remove one 5V reg if you need <1A.) 3.15g

I should weigh the setup out of scorpy.

Steve

Thanks for that. If we want to get 30:1 HPs, how do we do that? I remember Aaron was going to get some in for Nick.

Edit: BotBitz is not on the Wiki part sources page.

10x 100:1 HP Gearmotors
20x 50:1 LP Gearmotors
10x 50:1 HP Gearmotors

Also trialing out a steel faceplate on these to see if it helps with the problem Glen and Steve experienced once with the face plate bending and pulling the screws out. Will test each motor before putting them into stock tonight.

For those chasing 30:1, would you be interested in LP or HP, or both?

Cool, but it looks like they have the same problem as the last ones, the front plate just pushes onto the stand off spacers and the bolt doesn't hold it on at all. Unless they're different which would be nice

Yeah, I actually discussed with the manufacturer on making a 3mm thick aluminium face plate with a stepped bearing and countersunk screws, but they wouldn't agree on it. At the moment I'm trying to get them to supply the motors with a wide head screw similar to these.

and if they cant supply em like that, maybe find a supplier for the screws and get some in, and either fit them to your stock yourself, or ship them with the motors?

Ideally, that's what I would like to do for the current stock, but trying to find M1.6 screws with that kind of head is rather hard. If anyone can find a source, let me know!

Yes that was initial idea.

To be fair I have not lost any face plates off these ones only pololu ones. And wheels last event took quite a pounding.

Steel may help to some extent as it is not as soft as the brass. But only one way to find out.

I've yet to lose a face plate of any of the gearmotors I've purchased since starting antweights. However, I'd still like to beef them up to put everyones mind at ease.

Cnc itself doesn't really solve the problem. Main idea was bigger screw head with thicker Ali plate (check with Aaron) still need said larger screws. Only advantage of thicker plate is so screws still sit flush.
