Metal Mayhem 4

Hi All,

It's been a while since we had any combat in this part of the country, so I was just talking to Andrew about the possibilities of running an event at Kilkivan. I know it's a long distance for everyone, but I'm jsut asking if there is any interest in holding an event during the upcoming school holidays.

Also, we would need to work out some dates and if possible, would someone be able to travel up the day before the event and help set up the arena and organise things? Kinda helps us a hell of a lot if we have a 3rd person around.

Any, we're open to suggestions and opinions.

Name the day and I am there. I would love to see Marauder disintergrate at the rotor of Annihilation.

Hi guys,

I would be interested in helping out. I can come up a day early & give a hand.

What dates are you thinking about? As I am still botless, I had better pull my finger out Very Happy

I was thinking possibly September 25th, which is a Saturday, it's the middle weekend in the holidays, which might be a hassle for those who go places during the holidays, but a bonus to those who need the week before to work on their bots.

Feedback please.

25/9 sounds good to me. I couldn't come the day before, but would be happy to stay and help pack up afterwards.

Chris, if we could hold it closer to Brisbane we would. The other venue in Brisbane doesn't have an arena yet, so that's out of the question, I don't believe Marto and Original Carnage have finished their arena yet, so right now it's just ours or the park Confused

Help packing up would be muchly appreciated Philip. Randal, if you are able to make it up the day before, that would be great too, might even have a bot here for you to drive if you haven't built yours by then Cool

We'll be there. We just have to figure out the best way of getting our ant arena into the back of the car. Very Happy

You could just battle on the ant hill out the front lol not sure the meat ants would like it much though
Aaron and i have had a play around and will set the arena up little different this time it wil be a bit more like jeffs arena but will still have the wire cage we will block the whole front of the shed and wont use the shade cloth as it makes it too dark inside .

kkeerroo, if needed I may be able to borrow the neighbours trailer & we can put it in there.

Have we thought about car pooling to get up to woop woop. Maybe we can save on the number of cars going up there. Chris if you want to come up a day earlier, you can hitch a ride with me.

My ant arena was built and broken in the same day Sad It was nothing compared to the one the Hellfire Labs have produced.

Also, Chris, if Sharpshooter is still around the 6kg mark, I'll battle you with my little 6kg bot which is ready to be wired up.

Will be there. Haven't been on the net for a while so i just saw this thread but we should be able to come with our 3 robots. Evil spike is almost done. RRRs over needs a few finishing touches and BBv2 needs quite a bit of work but i'm sure we could have all three going by the 25th.

It will be good to be able to do some battling again.
