The AusBiggun guys said that they would like a platform to launch their boats off. Roboteers would like an arena to drive in. I would like to have had a bit more action. What other things need improving?

How about RC tanks that shoot something other than IR lasers or plastic air-soft BB's ? Laughing

I have a couple of 1/40th IR shooting tanks (fun but would be better larger - perhaps 1/16th scale)

Love the Tamiya RC tanks (and associated "battlesystem" hardware) but HATE the big $$$ price for the tamiya stuff....

Now that I've seen the "big-gun" site and equipment, I might finally build a big tank - perhaps with a "big-gun" BB cannon for weaponry... Very Happy

But seriously, for insane "tread-head" RC action check out ...

I just found paintball firing tanks...

I spoke to the Big Guns fellow this morning. He told me that they now wish to come on the 19/12. The same day as Robowars. Sorry for any inconvenience.

No inconvenience, we just won't be there.
But I would like to show off our robots before going down south. How's a park meet on the 12th sound?

Sounds good to me. Both of your robots sound like interesting designs. Is the park on Rode Road clear on the 12th? My shed is available if you want.

Marauder will still be in pieces. I will bring what I have.

The day started off a bit slow with two hours of last minute jobs before the boats hit the water. Not too bad for the second event.

There were three armed battle ships and one unarmed freighter. Volley after volley struck the lone vessel. It doged and weaved. It's little bilge pump worked furiously to keep the freighter afloat as it was attacked again and again. Then it's batteries failed. A kind skipper tried to push it to shore but howls of protest convinced him to open fire once more.

Three or four more passes went and the doomed ship sat low in the water. The waves lapped over the deck and the ship succumed silently to the cold depths.

The crowed were not so silent. The blood lust had over come us and we cheared its demise.

We are aiming to have another early in Feb
