Love the reach on the new farm boy…..are you gonna have a weapon belt on this for nats and if so, will it work as well as the chain?

I liked the reach, but the arm was too heavy and the robot flipped itself over too easily. Looking a new mechanism completely currently. Can't really say how it will be done or how well it will work till I actually work on it more Razz

Might get the welder out this weekend and begin slapping together something.

It has some serious power in that gearing…just had to stop chain falling off.

The biggest shame was that the robot was only running on 4S at Vivid, it was support to be on 6S (the weapon motor is a 24v motor) so it was quite underpowered and slow compared to what it should have been.

wow...i reckon just add the 6s and work out a way that the chain cant fall off(tensioner/guide or something) and it will be great. Very Happy ..besides i like its metal victory dance Very Happy

Farmboy has 20:1 775s running 3" wheels at 5s, doesn't it? Where you happy with the speed and acceleration? It looked pretty good on the videos.

Edit: just read a post saying 4s, oops
