Look like you are dropping the idea of the belt drive to the wheels.

Any particular reason?

Well I collected my beater "blanks" yesterday and it's not looking good.
The "laser" cutting looks like it was plasma cut instead and its pretty rough, if I am some how able to machine these blanks to spin, it's going to require a hell of a lot of work to balance them.

Currently considering a drum instead Sad

Dont ya have to make a pulley anyway for the belt to spin it.....then just shove another pulley at the other end to...we wont mind if its a bit wobbly he he

Will fit the 4 jaw chuck to the lathe tonight and have a go at setting it up in the lathe for machining.

How thick are they? Probably pushing the limits of laser cutting that is.

if its been cut by any heat method remember to grind off the HAZ before trying to machine it.
