See if that fixes the Email notifications. I still don't get new user notifications and new users don't get notified that their accounts are active but I switched from SMTP server to PHP BBs internal Email server so wonder if that makes any difference.

If we are having SMTP issues you can bounce them through my vps, we may need to adjust SPF, also reverse DNS will be wrong which can add to the spam score.
lemme know if you want to do it.

Just a heads up, I know this is a tired topic with mixed ideas about it, but I'm not getting any topic notifications via email at all from topics I'm watching ( so the Forum appears dead! ), yet there have been pages of posts I was "watching" and have missed at the time, anyone else with the same problem? eg. State specific information / Builders Reports / Tech Chat / ( this one ) - I do however check the forum because of this problem.

I too log in when I get an email notification because at the time the topic is "live" so to speak, I feel to participate or respond is a matter of common courtesy if I have something to contribute or want to ask a question.

Cheers Tim Very Happy

The emails have been working for me fairly reliably this week - not every single new post in a watched thread has sent an email, maybe 80% have.

This one worked Very Happy I wonder if it has anything to do with weather someone posts a comment on the thread they are watching or not....? I have been following Nick's beater build for some time yet made no comment that I can recall however the "stop watching this topic" ( icon / button ) is present in the lower right corner so I assume ( lol ) that the server know's I'm watching the topic if that makes sense.

Just post a quick test message on my build log and see if you start getting the emails.

Time for a forum upgrade? This has been ongoing for an extended period of time. Not sure if its actually having an negative effect but it annoys me.

While I have nothing better to do than hit refresh constantly, we must be losing the attention of some builders and most guest users. That can't be a good thing no matte how you look at it!

I just don't notice sometimes. I should really have put more effort into getting this fixed but been busy with other things.

The WebHost now has a ticket created on it, and its been moved up to the L2 support Guys.

The Problem seems to have started about the same time they moved us to a new machine, so probably something in the mail server configs. Ill be back to you when they get to me.

If nothing shows in the next day or so, someone remind me and ill follow them up.
