Sydney Mini Maker Faire

Just a thought that it might be good for the group to have a display...

CALL FOR MAKERS

Applications are now open to be part of the Sydney Mini Maker Faire at the Powerhouse Museum.

Returning for its second year, the Sydney Mini Maker Faire is a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the world-wide Maker movement. A place where people show what they are making and share what they are learning.

As part of Sydney Design 2014 festival, this two day weekend event is designed to be forward-looking, showcasing Makers who are exploring new forms and technologies. Maker Faires features innovation and experimentation across a broad spectrum including science, engineering, art, performance and craft.

Applications are open to individuals, groups, schools and other organisations, whether you’re interested in just demonstrating your invention or selling it as well!

Apply now! Applications close Friday 4 July 2014, 5PM.

Interesting and exciting - on the other hand they want everyone to have $10 million insurance, so possibly rather expensive. it wouldn't be too hard to do a display booth but that's hardly exciting and I'd rather put up an arena and do some demo fights.

Last time they offered insurance through gallery. Which was organised day before the fair iirc. wasnt too bad but think they may have backed themselves into a corner saying they would provide it.
