I found an odd problem - I received 5 notifications for updates in the last two days and the posts they related to didn't show up until later.

That's right, by maybe up to an hour.

This seems like an inverted problem to the no alerts from before.

Might be caching site or something.....

I got a notification at 7:08 today and nothing has shown up yet - unless the post was deleted almost immediately.

You sure that wasn't just my post with a wrong timestamp on the email?

No, it was a separate one for my build thread. It seems very inconsistent, these posts are turning up instantly. If it was caching somewhere, wouldn't that affect everything?

True, but shouldn't it be consistent across all pages? If I see this update appear and then go back to the page that wasn't updating, shouldn't it have come good? I'm not sure caching explains it - two early notifications were for PMs that were new and couldn't have been cached.

The 7am notification was for my build thread; the last post that I can see is from yesterday - if you see something newer, then its just me or my ISP. Or maybe somebody really did post and then delete...
