Oh yes! Extra keen, happy to help with any prep work Marto, as I'm sure we'll be short of Canberran hands.

Well, I've booked time off work around this and the also Vivid event, so I'd better get Zenghiaro built. I'm also thinking about putting together a basic 2WD wedgebot for the full-combat competition (with the chassis made from scrap metal/wood I have lying around) - should I register this now (and drop it out if I can't get the second bot built), or wait until it's a bit more substantial than me eyeing off the junk in my garage?

Done. Now apart from actually building the two bots, I also need to work out which family members are coming with me, whether we're driving or flying, and where to stay. Good thing I've got 5 months
What about vivid . Sportsmans a good way to ease into it. _________________ Steven Martin

Yeah, actually I'm planning on making both, I've got the time off work
The plan is to focus first on Zenghiaro and run it at Vivid, hopefully it doesn't get too destroyed so I can run it again at Nationals. The other bot I'm not intending on getting too attached to, I'll make it mostly out of junk I have lying in my shed/garage.

Are these dates definite? I'm planning to put leave in this week. Keen to come have a look and help out.

Are we going to book that MC we had at Vivid? He was the best yet and really got the audience pumped up. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

Any problem with registering random placeholder X until the actual bot is a little more locked down? _________________ Remember to trust me, I am an Engineer.
Local Canberran here, after watching the Sydney Vivid festival competition I would like to make robot for the August competition.

Are you thinking about a sportsman or a featherweight? either way, start up a build page and don't be shy about asking questions. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

Not yet sure, seems the difference is mainly about building for max damage, vs more for "fun".
