i cut it all up myself and he trimmed some edges for a better weld and so it didnt deform.
It cost me $80 but i cant realy do it myself and he did it in one day so im happy with it _________________ Tim Team Reaper.

$80 . . . I think I could live with that, it aint going to break in a hurry, and considering that he probobly has at least a $6K setup, it looks like it was worth it. _________________ Jeff Ferrara

Yer for the cost of a mig welder i could get someone who no's what they are doing to weld it 200 times.
I cut out all the bits and took in down there and talked to him for a lil while and he said he would trim 4mm of the base plates edges to make a groove for the weld so it didnt stick out too much and so it stuck better and didnt deform so all that was incl too so im happy.
Ill be going down there tomorow and dropping in a much smaller job and that will be the last bit o ali i kneed welded on this robot
After waiting a month at some other place and they still didnt get around to it so i eventully told em to stick it $80 isnt much when this guy did it in a day and prob charged me less then the other place i went to. _________________ Tim Team Reaper.

Well i have mounted two of the drive motors tonight after i got back from the metting.
I used bearing clamps the same as what is on king pinschers drive and ill allso use another typ of clamp that can be found at bunnings for the front end now i have found a way to clamp the back end better then using a hose clamp

Well it looks like i wont have a weapon this event due to my ibc not fitting where it is suposed to go and ill have to put it where the weapon motor was going to go but at least i can put bumpers on the side of the bot and a wedg on the front and back of the bot.
Sigh owell looks like a new bot next year. _________________ Tim Team Reaper.

hey tim, just use a smaller motor, 1kg isnt too massive a weight to spin, i reckon a 775 motor (about twice the size of a 550. you can buy them from model shops) would be just the ticket,
