hey i got some Li-Ion rechargable batteries out of an old laptop pack. they're a bit bigger than a AA but each one is about 4 volts and i'm uing them for one of my sozbots. i charged them up once and it worked perfect but now it wont charge and theres no dry joints or anithing like that.

Lithium cells are actualy 3.7V per cell and require a purpose charger for charging. If the battery is over charged the cells can be damaged just like NiCad and NiMH cells (every one has heard stories of these cells "exploding" by now). Care also needs to be taken when discharging the cells because if they go too far they will be permanently damaged and will not take a charge again. The Li-Poly manufacturer I was looking up recomended not going bellow 3V per cell.

Hey everyone, i havnt posted in ages because i have been really involved with my Weightlifting.
I have 2 weeks of school due to exams so i decided to entertain myself by building a sozbot!

http://www.robowars.org/forum/album_pic.php?pic_id=1246

I made it out of a cheap, fully functional remote control car and wacked some colour bond as armor. I am plaing on making the wedge of the front into a fliper.

1.36, and what ever happened to that "fully autonomous soz bot" of yours?
Regarding flames, year sure, its not like you're competing against anyone really.

That is unless you wanna fight mine... Cool

Don't ask and you won't blow yourself up... It's more complicated than that. You need to control ignition, gas and in a way so it can't break in combat conditions... Laughing
