Drill batteries powering that weapon motor..... I can see you lasting around 30sec on full power. Also, that spinning bar is going to cause some severe mauler dancing Confused

But it's looking good! Keep up the work, it will be only a matter of time before you have yourself a complete working robot!

well basically the bent tips of the weapon will make the bot flip over when it hits something, ala basilisk and the american bot mauler.

bot its good progress, keep building Smile

long time no post......

ok well some of you may know that ive completely rebuilt windhammer and heres a picture of everything were it should go but its not mounted.

http://www.robowars.org/forum/album_pic.php?pic_id=543

things to do:

wait for ibc to arive.

derust flywheel and weld teeth on.

bend arms holding up flywheel down so it can get lower bots.

bolt mounts to baseplate.

weld arms onto frame.

mount bearings.

cycle battery agian.

paint bot like a hippy van.

-----------------------------------

i have pretty much everything i just need to put it all together.

ok this is what im using in windhammer:

drive: dual kk2 9.6v drill motors.

battery: nicad 4.5amp 12v wieghing 1.5kg (perfect)

weapon motor: model plane starter motor with pullys

electronics: 2x 2 channel hitec ranger 2's and ibc (im planning on buying a 4ch)

weapon: some kind of old day wheel from a kart or something, about 3kg

wheels: 2 funky blue squishy wheels that valen makes.

frame: steel tubing (round) which is more anoying to weld than square.

all comments and sugestions welcome.

that looks crazy cool.

as long as the weopon works well and nothing breaks it looks good.

have solid armour though and prepare for all occasions in combat.

also yours looks flippable and i can not see a srimech or self righting mechanism at all in that design.

Looks VERY VERY cool though. love the look of it.

nice work.

looks great there something you might want to do is have some forward suport arms to stop the disk hitting the ground and or moveing the drive wheels up the front

what are you going to use for weopon teath??

LOOKS COOL DUDE!! Wink

Coming aloong very well great work! Very Happy

Yer would be a good idea to put some legs on the fly wheel incase you get wedged from the bak.

Rather then trying to bend the tube which will prob be very hard to do why not just cut it shorter and weld it to the front of the bot?

looks cool but man i can only see it lasting 5 seconds against a wedge or a flipper less agains things hitting mid to high up on the bot look too top heavy. but i could be wrong and it could be really stable. tip it to 45 degesse and see if it falls over if it dose youve got a problem.

After that rant i recon it looks good and should be ok once you get every thing together

what i ment is that it looks to top heavy and easy to flip. i would have put the weapon lower down.
