Hi,

After trying to buy cut to size ali sheet in a high strength grade, I gave up and bought a full sheet. I have up to half a sheet spare for sale at cost price:

1/4 sheet (1200 x 600mm) = $41.25

1/2 sheet 1200 x 1200mm) = $82.50

This is in 5083 grade, temper H116. The specifications (from the Capral site) are:

"An alloy having the highest strength among non-heat treatable alloys. Good resistance to corrosion by seawater and marine environments but is not recommended for use in temperatures above 65C. Used in shipbuilding, general engineering and transport applications."

Its Ultimate tensile strength is 305 MPa, which compares very well to to the common 5005 grade at 180 MPa and 6061 (which is virtually unobtainable) at 260 MPa

I am happy to cut the sheet into smaller rectangles as long as you take at least 1/4 sheet.

I just bought 2 500 by 500 mm pieces off chris for like 40. aaarrgh.
