Huh?
CAD could be a 2D point sketch drawn in AutoCAD and CGI could mean I drew in MSPaint. Be more specific.

I actually did this in Inventor. But you can use SolidWorks to do exactly the same thing.
And it looks like they have cracked 2008 already. http://www.torrentz.com/search?q=autodesk+inventor&x=45&y=17

I have started welding the robot together today. This weekends goal was the center frame. Next weekend is the front lifter link. There are some dodgy looking welds, but they should get better by the time I get to the outside of the robot where people could see them. And paint fixes everything.

I though SW was short for Sidewinder.

clean the Al before welding? or tidy up after?
before we use hot caustic soda and a itty bitty stainless steel brush.

I want to clean the welds, so after welding. I can't get the wire brush in the corners.

Ok I got bored while being on holiday and finished another drawing for Sidewinder. This one is only 75% the size of the other versions and would be armed with a flame thrower.

That makes 4 robots designed in 2 weeks. I forgot to add the middleweight I drew into the drawing. It is sort of a cross between Loki and Adversary, if anyone even remembers Adversary.
