Then, later, Evil Glen Rose put a trip wire across the garage door and I went for 6! Smashing the radio on the floor and it seems, I feel I may have cracked a rib!

With Jeff. F`s suggestion, I put the tx xts in Refbots radio and we were ready to go, only this caused the controls to turn upside down and sideways but I was too badly injured to repair it (see lazy) so I thought I could manage;;;; wrong, you cannot successfully avoid spinning blades from hell if you can`t tell wich way your`e going! I begged them to stop! but they kept attacking me, even after time ran out!

!! LOL that statement is just ringing with truth Surprised hehe

First videos are up

I could only do 3 last night, there are another 5 or so to come. If anyone videoed the battle between Cobra and Basilisk (short as it was), please let me know. All clips are encoded for MS Windows Player 9.

Basilisk vs Robort The start is missing and apologies for the poor quality

High quality (13.7Mb) http://203.221.217.82/bas_v_robort_h.wmv

Low quality (3.4Mb) http://203.221.217.82/bas_v_robort_l.wmv

Cobra vs El Bravo The evil Mr Rose takes his revenge Laughing

High quality (12.7Mb) http://203.221.217.82/cobra_v_el-bravo_H.wmv

Low quality (3.4Mb) http://203.221.217.82/cobra_v_el-bravo_l.wmv

The kick-ass Final Melee The best event I have ever been in! the camera was tripod mounted while we all battled so some action in the corners is missing.

High quality (17.1Mb) http://203.221.217.82/melee_H.wmv

Low quality (4.23Mb) http://203.221.217.82/melee_l.wmv

I can't leave these online for more than a week so if you want to keep them, download now!

HeHe 3 to 5 more videos, first thing tomorrow morning - including the infamous Plan B v El Bravo, which will quickly become a cult classic!. The lame editing job takes 10 minutes, its the encoding that drags along...

Jeff will be dropping his tapes around tomorrow, so I can get to work on a proper job with the melee and some of the other fights, plus a greatest hits compile.

What file size vs quality is everyone happy with? I can make both bigger & smaller versions than what's posted already.

Modesty prevents me from voting for myself - NOT! I vote Basilisk as most destructive, to other bots and itself (and the floor!) Laughing

my opinion in coolest and best driven was probably robort.

for switches it handles amazingly well and i just loved the general look of the beast. It was very alien-dune buddy and i love cool looking robots.

The awards for worst driven and loudest bot would have to go to Singularity Razz

BTW, would anyone know anything that would cause a patch of corrosion into ali about half a mm deep and about the diameter of a 50c coin, other than battery acid? Because during the first inspection of my bot since the event that I did this arvo, I found a patch like the above right near the battery area of singularity. I initially freaked out and went about cutting the shrink rap and padding off the battlepacks to find the leaky cell, but after doing so there appears to be no problem with the pack, no cut cells, and none that look like they have gassed. All of the cells check out with the same voltage, so im guessing they're ok, but I need to be sure.

I cant think of anything I have here that would do it, so I figure it most likely happened at the event. Was anyone using solder fluid or something else corrosive that day that may have splashed in the general direction of singularity?

I dont really care what caused the corrosion, as long as I verify it wasnt the battlepacks dieing on me . . . Any Ideas ?

hey jeff, i cant recall any one soldering near singularity,

you might want to check your motors though, it might have been a brush thats launched out and burnt the ali. theres a big melt and scorch mark in my lexan from that happening.

i have some good really high quality 3.2mb photos i took of singularities guts, if you give me a general direction in which to look i might be able to see it? was it underneath the batteries?

a good excuse to get rid of the padding then hey Very Happy , cant think of anything that would corrode aluminium, maybe you might have had some molten weld land there or something, apart from that NFI
