After months and months of work, I have secured yet another venue for Qld robotics comps. I have just leased a 100sqm industrial unit at Sumner park.
I would like to invite all local (SE QLD) builders and enthusiests to come along on the 21st of May for a builders meet and some "tame" battling. I have no arena yet but I will have a low wall to keep everything relativley confined. I will also have welding, grinding, cutting and light machining facilities. A bbq also sounds like a good idea if everyone is interested.
The date is flexible but the 21st is 2 weeks before the next "House Of Carnage" event.

the Saturday is fine with me Sundays are always a rush to get home cook dinner and get kids ready for bed ect for school the next day .

A couple of guys have asked me to let them know when an event is held in the Brisbane area. One fellow works at the shop that welds marauder and the other is from the Big Guns. Would it be alright with you, Marshal, if I invite them or would you prefer to keep this to a builders only meet?

Spectators are fine with me, as long as everyone understands its not a full blown comp (yet) it mainly a chance for everyone to get together, chat and work on robots. An all weather venue with power, toilets and soon a full workshop saves people going to parks and risking a passer by getting hurt.
Anytime anyone wants to organise an event using my shed is fine with a few weeks notice. I'm planning an arena and a few other bits and peices to help roboteers in Qld and to save Brisbane based guys from having to drive a few hrs to compete in a propper arena.
Saturdays are better for me also but the odd sunday event is not out of the question.

The adress is unit 10 no. 28 Jijaws st Sumner. Its only 2 intersections off the Centenary Hwy so its nice and easy to find. Darra train station is only a 5 minute drive so anyone using public transport won't miss out.
