After a couple of months off from robots i finaly have got around to fixing (hopefuly)the drive problem in this robot.
I have replaced the two bottom pram type wheels with bunings red wheels it sems to be going ok and drives a lot better now as the old wheels used to get flat spots from siting on the floor .I drove it around for about 10 minutes this morning so the next battle will test it out .

Andrew, I would like to know what would happen if VL hit a shovel face. Do you think that VL would cut or dent the spring steel of a shovel? Would you be prepared to test this?

I decided to pul the covers of VL and give it a bit of a service the bateries also have never been removed since i built it .I decided to put in a 7 amp battery to give it a bit more run time and have removed the 2.3 sla s. I also managed to push the drives foward a little more to gain a bit more balance as the 7 amp doesnt go back as far as the other batery did .I still havnt put the teeth back on but that shouldnt be a major job .So far its looking good, I even panel beated the side covers which were geting a few dents in them .Hopefully will give it a test drive tommorow and see if all the work has made any differance .
