CRIKEY ...Team FunnelWeb

well i finally did it and am building a spinner ,still a bit to do but its coming along Very Happy
ill take a few shots when i get a chance.its a wedge shaped horizontal spinner with a 150mm disk which will have teeth bolted to it .the weapon drive is a pancake fan motor ,and is belt driven ,similar to plan b.
the motors and drives are the same as ive had for 3 years ,armour will be ali and of cause nobby tyre protection
.i figured if the weapon died or was killed i can unbolt it easily and the robot can be used as a wedge ,so i guess im going the multi weapon type ,
im setting the weapon up so the blades can be changed and a saw blade can be fitted if i choose to between battles .i have had to at last call on some of those nice machines around me at work to help in this project so maybe it will work. ill keep you updated Wink

Very Happy was setting the weapon in place today and ive decided to make it so i can have a veertical spinner or a horizontal spinner ,fortunately the weapon, the drive motor and supports etc are all in a bolt on unit ,so ill see how it goes.
thinking of going 24v with the drives but not sure if i need that much speed for a spinner

ive been in dubbo for the last few days due to a sick family member and havent had time to build ,fortunately the relo is on the mend and building can continue .....
ive decided to call the new spinner SOSORRY
the reason i have is that it is a SORRY clone but with a spinner so what the heck ,hopfully it brings a bit of good luck and is as sucCessful as the old SORRY..
a photo will be released asap ,i do hope to spend sunday building so who knows ,iam also building a new bot for mitch to drive based on a new wedge design im playing around with ,it will have SORRYs old drives running at 15.5v at this stage but i have been thinking about getting some new 18v batts for this one ,kinda think it will make it a bit tougher to tumble.
