Well with under 2 weeks to get ready i'm just fixing the arial, twack tail, 9.6v motors(back to 12v) ..... basily all the problems I know of so all gose to plan this will be the first time my robot has be running before the event(as it's already running now even if with a stick arial ) this might be because it's the only time i'm not trying major changes that never seem to work lol _________________ Team KO

well stuffed that up again lol should I got though the list of stuff ups?
First the arial didn't work well(again)
Second the wheels where shredded in the middle 5 mins after I put them on stuffing up drive even before the first fight
The batterys are stuffed with most of them not even geting to 13v fully charged
Also the bottem drags the ground lozeing traction
Think that it's(as far as I know lol)
Anyway on to the bussness
KO IS GONE I don't care if I skip the next event i'm sick to death of that robot as it is lol to fix it I would need to do sooooo much it's a total rebuild anyway
So onto a new robot. Plans are for a shorter, taller, not invertable with a lifting/selfrighting arm ko with nicads and cooling on motors/ibc
Any way due to cash shortage may be a long time before I get those batterys or second radio so am just going to get started anyway.
Going to build it like ko without a wepion and use the arm just as a ajustable wedge for now but leave it for a upgrade. Don't know if it will be ready for the next event but oh well just need to do my best _________________ Team KO

Well just so you all know been fidling with a spinner and am going to try and get one running lol
Just a cheap one off drills and a fan motor or somthing if I can bag one
Even going to be stuck with SLA lol
Reasion i'm doing this is it's my best chance of a working robot for the next event
Useing the blade and bearing off the upgraded simplicity _________________ Team KO

Lol, Drill NiCD's suck ass if your pulling more then 20amps for your weapon(Unless you parallel about 3 packs which defeats the purpose of NiCd's due to weight). At least the SLA will give you 100peaks from a 4amp or 250amp+ from a 7amp DOSS. _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

Well you are not going to belive this.......... KO is back (thats crazy/sad laugh)
The bearing I was useing on the spinners stuffed so with 1.5 weeks to go I got nothing I can do but get ko going and started work on wensday
For I start I CHOPED OFF THAT TOP ARMOR takeing every mounting thing with it
Next i'v made mounting for all motors useing hose clamps
I'v made a L bracked mounting for the IBC case and L bracked mounting for the batterys(fits both 2 4.3 ammp 12v SLA and 6 12v drill niads 1.2 ammp(for 24v 3.6 ammp)
I'm now up to dealing with the top armor and guess what THERE IS NONE.... ok I may put on a bit but mainly i'm useing frame to keep wepions away and in doing so makeing wings to stop the robot being fliped......
YES IT'S NO LONGER INVERTABLE
The best part of that is a VERTICLE ARIAL
Any way i'm nice and busy geting this thing ready _________________ Team KO

Not unless it likes thin air, the only thing within reach is the batterys and they have 3mm steel covering them _________________ Team KO

well due to a stuffed ibc the night before I just passed the last event lol\
And as much as I hate to say this ko's still with us
No time to make a new robot in 3 weeks however I have some money sooooo
Upgradeing to 3.6ammp nicad batterys (YAY) with triton
4 new 12v drill motors
4 good wheels(from valen or custom made metal one's) i'm sick to death of that plastic in the red wheels stuffing up happened first fight last time
and i'll be puting back on some top armor though not 3mm(apart from over the ibc and batterys he he)
Keeping the wings to stop it being fliped(may make bigger and trust me it works as I remember see once on a nsw clip he he)
and it not invertabile for a proper antena and ground clearance _________________ Team KO

Hmmm well maybe I should fill you in whats going on
For a start sla's are gone and the 4 12v packs of nicads are already made and just need the right conectors and mounting
The Triton is on its way alone with another lovely thing
A PCM radio lol that's right I gave up! I tryed oh how did I try
I even made that fancy thing on the last one so the arial always pointed up even if fliped but man nothing works lol radios hate me
So anyway this should fix any problems I have lol
Also i'm de-evolveing some of the bot back to the nsw type of dezine
The front is now again just flat with spikes just right to smash into spinners with 3mm + steel(i'll see if I have spare weight)
The back is now a hinded wedge but not wood as good as that was
It's 3mm steel just so I can deal with a few lower spinners when the time comes lol
Errrr oh yea no more red wheels Squishy wheels are on there way as well lol yay
errrr oh yea the batterys and ibc are monted togeather on foam so shock should not be a problem
Still just 12drill on 24v but will be full stick all the fights lol
Think that's about it cya at the event _________________ Team KO

With all these fancy upgrades Tim, does that mean you've gone and made some more fancy spray paint shirts to add some more of that grunge theme back into the team? _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/
