What is your weight budget for the rest of the parts? _________________ So even the rain that falls isn't actually going to fill our dams and our river systems

I made the flipper arm today and test installed the pneumatics.
Total weight = 11.75kg
Still have batteries (300g) electronics and armour/covers to go. _________________ Get Some!!!

Awsome, good to see you don't mind using your own past robots as test targets! That's a pretty powerful short throw, will be interesting to see how it fairs in combat _________________ ( •_•)

why didnt one of you guys stand on it? your about 13kg right
looks cool, and why the chain mechanism there? looks like it would have been easy enough to connect the cylinder to the arm directly _________________ www.demon50s.com - Minimoto parts

have a look at the build pics ..if the ram was atached directy to the flipper arm it would make a nice triangle shape with no hinges ..the ram isnt hinged so something has to pivot.good idea with the chain

Its a beautiful machine, though I fear for it's protection against spinners and exposed nature of the chain.

Hellcat worked fine on the weekend winning 3 out of 4 matches.
The first was against Cheese shredder. The fight went for the whole 3 minutes and seemed fairly close to me (since I have only just got home I havn't watched the video). The regulator was supplying only around 80psi so the flipper wasn't all it could've been but I still managed to get Cheese over once.
The second fight was against Marauder. I had adjusted the regulator between rounds and was confident that I could turn Marauder over. I had tested Hellcats self-righting ability at home and knew exactly how this fight was going to turn out, with Hellcat sitting on its back in the middle of the arena. No suprises then when I ended up like that after being flipped by Marauder.
The next fight against Sidewinder went well with sidewinder ending up propt up against a wall.
The last fight against Vertical Limits was a little hairy. I couldn't get the flipper under him from the rear or sides so I had a go at the front. The first hit bent the flipper arm which prevented it from lowering completly. VL then had a go at my polycarb sides and ripped several large holes in the side. After a bit of this I managed to get the flipper under him and bounced him around a little and luckily he ended up stuck on the arena wall.
some photos of the damage:
I would also like to thank everone for being leanient with Hellcat being 400g or so overweight. I am now looking into new gearboxes that will bring it back under-weight. I might also finnish mount the electronics and battery too. _________________ Get Some!!!

After going through the videos I remebered something. The flipper arm has a tendency to stick in the up position. This is because of the air cusioning built into the ram. I adjusted it a little at the event but it still needs a little fiddling. _________________ Get Some!!!

I got the pullys from the BCF superstore (Boating, Camping, Fishing) out at Everton park. We went there to look for fuel cartridges for my brothers flame thrower and picked up the pulliess, bungy and a set of 30kg digital fish scales while we were there. They are the larger of the only two sizes of pullies that they had.
Now I am going to ask you a question. Where did you get that LiPoly pack as I want to get some more of those cells? _________________ Get Some!!!
