A 19 by 5mm shaft is just perfect Very Happy I have just the right hardware to attach stuff tothe shaft.

hey NMO i cant rember if you did or not but have you moved the wheels closer to the front on your bots (if i rember rightly that was where they were struggling A: with the turning thingy and B: with using the wedge)

yeah I did that on my bot and mat has a new bot as of last robowars where the wheels are in the centre of the bot from the beginning

All Jaycars have them - catalog number YM2776

They're not ideal for a weapon unless you're going to run it through some sort of gearbox, belt, or friction drive.
It's much easier to use a fan motor or similar.

mm ok. So where would i get a fan motor? or the like. but drill motors r ok 4 da drive rite? and wyhere should i get my steel cos i don't really no if i should order it from edcon or if i should get it somewhere else. Any1 in melbourne could u help me out???????????? or how do i limit my current? is that 2 do with da batt. or wot? and good luck in brissy 2 all those goin up!!!!!!!!!! 2 bad i'm not. But i'm waiting anxiously 4 when it comes 2 vic.

didn't we already have the discussion about where to get fan motors?

Car wreckers are the place. Take your tools and poke around cars till you find some good motors (in the fan / aircon area, or electric radiator fans) and remove them.
They'll usually charge $10-20 for them.
