WORKSHOP CLEARANCE TAKE 2

AAAAAAAAALLLLLLLRIiighty then! Razz Taken a deep breath... shut down my robot builder mind set for a few seconds... and am putting the following items up for sale. (why?! Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad ) Oh, if any of the prices seem way too much let me know... It's not every day I have to price stuff lol.
Need to raise funds for robowars...

FOR SALE:

One EV warrior motor, never used, just scratched up from being in the motor draw for so long... not sure if it's CW or CCW... If someone could tell me how to know i'd greatly appreciate it. . $55 ONO

Two 3/4 inch ID Bearings. Very Good quality metric, these set me back $28 new! Shocked Again, never used, decided to use 20mm shaft instead. $9 ea

Now, this is interesting. Normaly I wouldn't bother to list any tooling, BUT this one is special. Tool steel countersink... $45!!!!! Specs say it can take on steel, however the 5 seconds or so I used it for titanium I decided it wasn't up to it. Some slight scuff marks from that, but that's all she wrote... $15

Haha! When Glen saw this his first comment was "WTF IS THAT"... Well true, it's actualy a reconditioned 18v dewalt motor, with fresh brushes. Bought second hand from a guy in the states along with my titanium in an impulse thought that I would ever use it... the answer is no. Laughing Runs absolutely fine. $15

35A brushless motor, and 60A cont ESC... Bought for a beetle but it never came to pass, controler too big, motor needed more volts... I just stuck with p9004's, besides, who is there to compete with! Motor used in testing, esc never even powered up (I blew up one, this was the replacement) Sad Cost me over $150... selling for $90 ono ... Arn't I stupid? Laughing When I did have it running at 16.8v though it was quite a sight... it's no pushover! Ohh how I wish it fitted in my mini inferno! Laughing

The belts! The belts!
I don't even know why I SHOULD be selling these, the damn CBC guys stuffed up. These are great belts, BUT they rounded down for me, instead of up. Result: The pulleys can't fit the belt without OVERLAPPING each other! Evil or Very Mad One out of packet, one still in. $10 for both, posted.

Blown your 100W scooter motor? (If such a thing is really possible!) Here's a replacement. Glen just grabbed dibs on the wheels and belts, so it's just the motors. $8 ea plus postage.

Hmm... indeed. We found this dumpster diving, it's a 5mm thick steel wedgy thingy... quite le cool. I've got no use for it... free, just pay for postage... providing I see it used on a robot! Laughing

That does me for now... Smile Let me know if anything should be changed!

Indeed. I got them under the thought I was going to buy some of Nicks 3/4 inch ground shaft... but end up buying my own 20mm shaft instead. Smile

Sounds like a left handed screw driver or a pure steel.

Left handed screw drivers and pure steel do exist, but are more expensive then normal parts that do the same job.

Hah true. Well, exactly why I changed to 20mm... but i've got them now, so thought they may as well get used. You wonder though, would pure steel really be possible? Laughing I'm sure there's a 0.0000000000001% of something else in there! Smile

steel is steel because it isnt pure anything.
pure iron is well iron, its basically crap at everything, like pure Ti.
steel is full of carbon (to make it harder) and nickel and chrome and a mess of other additives. i think its usually around 3-4% other stuff for everything other than stainless.

The point i was making was 3/4 inch is an imperial measurement, not a metric one.
so 3/4 inches metric dosen't actually make any sense.
(well in any sense other than that the inch is defined in terms of mm now)
heh i like on mythbusters they are using metric measurements more and more now (liters in the one last night) but still give their answers in imperial (MPG)
Grant seems to use metric for all his stuff then converts to imperial for the result.

I'm keen for the EV Warrior motor. Is it 12 or 24 volt?
