Can sell the ar6000 reciever and get a bot one unless its legal to use the ar6000 as long as the one failsafe channel is used for the weapon?

I might take it off your hands, if i can't use it in a bot, i'll put it in a plane. Quick questions:

Is it DSM or DSM2?
Is it a parkflyer or full range reciever?

Thanks

Hmm.. I just found this.
http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=8337
BUT it says this...
"Multi Flapperon, mixer, vtail, FPV, robot controlling hobbiests do not order!"
No failsafe perhaps?

random question.

The dx6 charger is 11.6v with 120v input would i have any problems if i used a 12v adapter from a drill charger?

I read the dx6 dose not have a charging diode inside so would i have to wire one up?

If you have a charger that can charge NiCad’s just cut the plug end off the plug pack 110-volt charger and make an adapter lead.

We just use whichever triton isn’t doing anything to top up the TX's.

Best to cycle the TX batteries 2 or 3 times occasionally they can have almost no capacity and you cant do that easily on just a trickle charger.

If you put a diode in the TX charging circuit you couldn’t cycle the batteries
with the charger.

Dx5 failsafe

Not sure if this is totally useless at this stage, but rebinding with the sticks centered didn't really help as I was using the spring return side anyway, but what I found was that using exponential and binding with hi-rates on seemed to fix the problem. And I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it, but the other times I binded it, the transmitter battery indicator were not at the 'full' stage. Hope this helps
EDIT: Yeah, you have to bind it on full battery for it to failsafe properly, I tried re-binding it on 3/4 battery and it had that reversing problem.
EDITEDIT: I just did another test with full batteries and no exponential or hi-rates and it works fine. So as long as you bind in full batteries, you're good to go.

QQ:

Does anyone know if the spektrum nano reciever; http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=6396&Product_Name=AR6300_DSM2_Nanolite_6-Channel_Receiver,_Air

Will bind to the DX6? I'm doubting but worth checking...
If not, then would it bind to the DX5i? Confused Cheers

dx5 is DSM2 so i imagine it would. i think dx6 is just DSM1.

or you could just buy the $30 one for the price of the reciever alone. the reciever in that is basically 10mm longer then the specs they state anyway + it takes normal servo leads.
