Does anyone know where to get 6 inch pneumatic wheels from. Common size is 8 but 6 seems hard to find. Found some in the states but they dont ship, they where only 7.99 US. Just like the wheels on trolleys and stuff 6 x 2 inch with a steel hub. Need to find a place that stocks them as they will get damaged from battle but better the wheels than the bot.
I think Acid test might have 6 inch wheels but not sure.
Hopfully somone might have a suggestion. _________________ Bots that do not destroy you, only make you stronger.

Try bunnings or Mitre 10. Theres various sizes of nice large steel rimmed pnumatic tyres on 25 dollar trolley things. NOt sure exactly what there caled but there used for wheeling heavy things around and have large tyres with bearings etc in the. u get 2 and steel tube frame for 25 dollars. _________________ Andrew Welch, Team Unconventional Robotics

6" is a bit small for a pump-up tyre, can't recall ever seeing one. Is there no way to use a solid or foam wheel? the widest selection of useful wheels is at Robot combat and they defitely ship to Australia. You might also look at go-kart supply stores, I think they uses some very fat, small diameter wheels. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

They do exist but not in this Country. Unfortunate because they would be ideal, wanted them for a bit of suspension and for your spinning blade actually.
The robotcombat colson wheels are the second choice. Didnt really want a plastic centre. Will try os for another week before settling on something else. maybe should try to set urethane on a set of rims but need replaceable wheels as i want to run exposed wheels and be able to replace them easy.
I like exposed wheels, gives everyone a target and wheels look cool. Will run 4 on my lightweight so can afford to lose one in a battle hopefuly and still move,
Frustrating thing is have a web site with really cool wheels at 6 inch but they only ship in trhe US. Damm Yankees _________________ Bots that do not destroy you, only make you stronger.

I know the type of wheels your talking about, I havn't seen them that small. I guess your talking about the type of wheels that are on Hellbringer 1 and 3. Hellbringer 3 had the smaller wheels which are 200mm dia. That the smallest pneumatic wheels we could find. _________________ Get Some!!!

I saw some at toyworld a few months back, they were for a scooter slightly larger than a razor scooter. I don't remember the exact size but they were close to 150mm. They are only narrow though, about 30mm wide with a tyre that looks more like its designed for leaning into corners, much like a "racer" style pushbike. _________________ Regards,

Thought I would finish this thread as my search is over.
Gave up for a while on these but it all worked out in the end, today actually.
Would have prefered to by local but they simply dont exist in this country and I was real keen to have this type of wheel. In the end it is costing me the same as if I went into a local shop that sells wheels and bought an 8 inch. Usually i try to keep costs down but trying to build something quite ultra cool and quite visualy striking so wheels really help.
The funny thing is that i had searched on the web for a while and found a site that had the ideal wheels from Northerntools which later I found is one of the suppliers of wheels to RobotCombat.
They start at 8 inchs on the site if you enter from robot combat but as i came into the site from a different search came accross them as a replacement item and thus ends my search for 6 inch pneumatic wheels.
THeres a pic of one in my builders report _________________ Bots that do not destroy you, only make you stronger.

Hey George, we were having a good chat about these wheels at robowars II and we have now decided we deffently need some. My brother wants about 4 for Loki and I need one for a design I'm working on, plus a few spares. But before then I need a few numbers if possible.
1 - The diameter of the shaft.
2 - The width accross the bearings
3 - The P.C.D of the bolts holding it together.
4 - And of corse the weight.
US$7.99 on the web site, but AU$26 by the time they got here. Still very tempting.
Reread the post and I'm a bad speller. _________________ Get Some!!!

Had link of page but not working atm. Noticed their web site down from RCM as well so might have to email JIm maybe and see whats happening with them. _________________ Bots that do not destroy you, only make you stronger.

Sorry, habit.
P.C.D = Pitch Circle Diameter. You got it right. _________________ Get Some!!!
