You just make up your own team name, and hope that people join in to help you out..
Some more information you could include is
What state/area/suburb are you from ?
What class are you intending to compete in,
what style of Robot are you making ? Wedge, Rammer, Spinner etc.
4Wd ? Invertible, Armour, Control System, Batteries, Radio
You dont have to supply all of that of course, just suggestions _________________ Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people

Try asking useful questions..
"Good" Aluminium - Good for what ? (If you say use in a bot, I'll slap you)
Aluminium can be used structurally for frames, for armour, for bracketry or lots of other things. What type of aluminium is best depends on what you want to do with it.
Do you want hardness, machinability, corrosion resistance, tensile strength, temper ?
Learn about the different grades of aluminium here.

Sizes, Availability, Price, Custom Cutting questions should be directed to your Bunnings Store. You see anyone around here wearing a Bunnings name-tag ?
"good" and "best" are meaningless terms. It all depends on the application.
When building a bot, 25mm thick steel plated with 10mm of titanium is the "best" armour.. Of course you wont be able to afford it, or have any weight left over for the rest of the bot.
What is best for you, will depend on budget, bot size, how careful you have been keeping the weight of the whole machine down, the structure of the frame and about a million other factors.
Generally, if people ignore your question, its because you have asked a stupid question that cant be answered easily, or one that you really should be finding out yourself by ringing Bunnings or using google.
People here are helpful, once you learn to ask intelligent questions.
:edit: Philip beat me to it He was probably a bit nicer about it.. _________________ Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people

OMG i never thought of that
Yeah, the ali bracket from bunnings is "ok" but it won't stand up against a spinner for long. For the local comp you'll be competing in it should be ok however. You can cut it into lengths and make panels, using it to join them with lots of bolts, I built a past version or roadkill like that, as well as my first bot cataclysm. Don't expect to be able to use it as armour though!
The best grades for that are the 5085, 6061, 7075 and 2024 grades, but don't expect to be finding any of the last two at a reasonable price! But again, aluminium is generaly soft for armour. _________________ ( •_•)
