Well just sifting through my pile of drill gearboxes, I had a look at the Ozito drills I bought for spares in Melbourne and found some funky little things.
The Ozito have longer shafts, which I previously noticed, but what I didn't see was in the longer snout where the bushing usually is, is a pair of ball race bearings! They look to be only cheapies, but I think with a quick visit to the bearing shop, one could pick up some better quality sealed bearings to suit. The shafts are about an extra 12-15mm longer due to the extra long snout to provide better axial strength,
Thought this might be of interest to those people still running drill motors. The 12v Ozito's were $25-30 IIRC. _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/
