WTB: Cyrix 6x86 PR100, PR166, PR200, PR266 Processors....

I'm chasing up some old funky cyrix processors for a backyard experiment.

I need 16 Cyrix 6x86 PR100, PR166, PR200, PR266 Processors total for this experiement. Jake, Brett, Jeff or Dumhed if you guys can get your hands on any, would appreciated it.

I'm willing to pay $5 + P&P per processor. Dead or alive Razz Ebay has none Crying or Very sad

I've got 2, a 6x86 P120 (100MHz) and 6x86 PR 266 (2.5x83MHz)
Don't know if the PR266 is going to be suitable because it runs at 83MHz FSB not 66 and it has MMX.

Jake's on the money Cool

I saw this little article and thought I'd give it a go... But on a bigger scale

The Cyrix Hot Plate!
http://www.rabidhardware.net/?id=44

Cool They run 7 CPU's off a single 7805 reg, so I'm going to run 16 off 2 x 7805's and off a 12v SLA and then make a smaller 4 processor hotplate for coffee cups at work run off 2 x USB sockets on the old K6 sitting on my desk...

5v@1A = 5w
you would be better off cooking over a light bulb, something like a torch. So yeah my guess is fake.

5x at 20W wouldn't be insignifigant 100w, but keep in mind an iron is something like 1300w.

Yeah, I noticed the maths didn't add up, but wanted to test it first (Somethings you don't believe do actually work), then try it without the regulators if it wasn't sucessful. Either way, I want to blow something up... Razz
