Cyborg - Barton Robotics - NSW

TEAM BAD - CYBORG

Builders : Brad, Andrew, Dylon (anitials are the team name)
Driver : Dylon Barton
Class : FeatherWeight
Chassis/Armour : 2 or 5 mm aluminium shell(CHANGED TO STAINLESS STEEL)
Weapon : circular saw blade(CHANGED TO WEDGE)
Drive : Ryobi cordless drill motors
Controller : servoswitches = drive, relay = weapon
Batteries : 1900, 2000, 2400 Nicad batteries

i like the shape of the machine, that with a fast and strong drivetrain and if built study and strong will do very well for a first machine

i would citch the saw blade as they do nothing as far as damamge and such these days

id go just as a wedge for now or go lifter or something else, a wedge/ifter design would be effective

well i was gonna run both a wedge on the bak and saw on the front to see wat i can get working the best

Finding a design you like is always a good first step. You will also need to work out how much weight you can allow for each system, drive, battery, weapon, etc. I found that making a cardboard shell in the proposed shape was an effective way to make sure that all of the components would fit properly.

so im not the only one still doing robot desigsn from cardboard first, shweeeeeeeeet

if u need any help, tools or the odd parts here and there (as i got quite alot of random stuff like some random fan motors and drill battery packs etc) feel free to ask

u coming out tomorrow for the small event/build day were having?

Nice progress on your first bot..

Be aware that if you are intending to compete at RoboWars, your Servo-Switches and Weapon control will require failsafes to be legal to compete.
