if you are really stuck here is how i used to make small belts for tape decks etc that i could 'nt get spare parts for .

Adjust your motor and wheapon so that they are close then move which ever part is adjustable back slightly and tighten it up .

Get Some cotton thread and go around both pullys and tie a knot then wind around the pullys 12 or more times to get your belt thickens ,trying to use the same tension , then start going around a puly then do a couple of wraps around the other threads as you work your way towards the other pully move the pullys aropund and keep wraping so all the threads get sort or bound together as one , they donnt have to be close loops probaby a loop every 10 mm or so until all the threads are as one you can adsjust the thicknes of the belt by the amount of threads you wind on .when you are finished knot it off prefably to the lose end that you started with if you havent bound it up .Once that is done ( should take about 5 minutes) loosen the motor and take the binded threads off being careful not to pull the belt form out of shape

Get some silastic and smear it over the threads but try not to make it too thick or your belt wil end up bumpy . Just use enought to bind the threads and give some grip .

lay it on some greased paper or other medium it wont stick to, in a circular shape and let the silastic cure the recommended time .

Hope this helps

well i have picked up a massive sheet of either 10mm shock resistant perspex or 10mm polycarb dunno (havent seen it yet)
and decided to use some on my new beetle design, its still the drum, but a lot slimer and should be under weight this time, the last version wasnt cause i had metal armour on the side so i had to remove it, the shaft wont bent this time and it should drive better
anyway here it is

well i have made a lot of progress these last few days, cyborgs already for the next event ibc is installed and im running the drives @ 18v, its finally becoming competitive though its gonna be tough this event seeing how itll be the only wedge other then orbit if its weapon doesnt get going

oh and cyborg has a new paint job i got bored with the green strip, only finished it about 10minutes ago still needs to be touched up with a paint brush so yeh here it is-

and helix is all done and ready to kick some arse, with its new metal frame its solid as, this time im running a 9 turn motor in it to give it some extra powa!!

i have also stuck on a roll cage so it can self right-

alrighty then, today went really well probly the best event ive been to yet.
Cyborg went really well the driving was very easy and it got its most wins in one event 2 XD. all up it came 4th.
VS. Stealth
well this was quite quick stealth flipped me a few times i tried to push it but i think i stuck the flat batteries in it and wasnt going that fast.
um then it flipped me up against the wall and cyborg was stuck
LOSE
VS. Ya Mum
well this was a typical wedge verse wedge fight, and u can guess wat happen they both wedge each other XD, anyway it went down to judges decision cause they were both moving and that was our first win of the day
WIN
VS. Suicide
This was Angus's new spinner it was a undercutter and i dread under cutters as i dont have spare wheels, um well i tried to wedge it and ended up driving into the weapon, did that a few times then angus had some problem which still have no idea wat happen and that was our second win yay lol. damage was a bent bolt that holds the shell on that was a pain to fix and a slightly bent tooth.
WIN
VS. Cyclonite (forgive my spelling if its wrong)
it had some difficulties before the fight but jeff got it going, cyborg got hit a few times this lose was my fault for not soldering the plugs to the drive motors but anyway i lost one drive then another soon after that.
LOSE
semi VS. Stealth
ah same thing happen as the first time it flipped me and i got stuck on the wall
LOSE
3rd/4th playoff VS Jolt
we had some problems with the electronics and had to forfiet ah well next time maybe.

Well we had lots of fun today was very happy with cyborgs performance just goes to show how much a IBC does help.

That's a great performance from a new bot; standing up to a strong spinner like Cyclonite is no small achievement. Once you solder those motor connections, your reliability will go way up.

We'd be interested in taking a look at that wheel.
With any luck (and some help from your friendly CnC mill type bloke) the new wheels should enter production fairly quick.
