Where can we find datasheets on your failsafes (eg provide us some brand names and model numbers). Also what type of radio are you using?

Regarding the failsafe, we bought an FS-2, which George from Chaos 2 agrees is absolutely useless. All it does is look for a constant input state, which very few receivers will generate anyway in failed mode. If you buy one of the orange ones, make sure you get an FS-1, which George says does the job.

The FS2 was identified over in the UK as unsuitable for a Robot failsafe...... We had results similar to your observations ....the FS1 is stable and suitable.

... get rid of the Tamiya receiver and get a decent, quality one.

...also - Sanwa used to set up their servo leads differently to other brands (the lead used for signal was instead one of the power leads) so may be the issue as well. They have changed in recent years to conform to the normal lead format of all other brands...

...the GWS failsafes fail a fair bit - not just in bots.
