These 4 designs are moderately simple, which helps maintain the reliability factor. Just a few idea for you to consider... _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

ok well how bout i start out with just making a wedge and i'll move onto my bar spinner after a bit of experience. so first i need to find out where your guide to making a drive system out of drill motors went. I swear it was there on the homepage under the guides section and now it's disappeared! _________________ The Falcon watches from the shadows. Waiting to POUNCE! or is that cats? Dunno either way. You will never get us all to agree on a bot design, that’s one of the fun aspects of the sport, everyone has different ideas priorities, building methods and parts to prejudice them.
Some wont to smash things others wont to win without inflicting damage. Just do it your way. _________________ Satisfaction is proportional to effort and results.

You mean a simple wedge like this?
At least with a wedge, they are pretty damn simple and heaps reliable...
EDIT:
Another cool design brought to my attention by Anguz... Fairly simple, but cool!
yeah well i might put like a saw or something on if i get time but for now it's a wedge. I might stick a bar on the top if i have some spare cash and some spare time. Ok design discussion CLOSED. No more tips telling me what to do for design now. There's too many already! I'll post more once construction begins!

can you keep you picture postings down to 600 pixels wide please. If you need higher res than that, then link to it, but dont use the img tag.
Higher than that messes up the forum formatting on lower res machines.

yeah that's just common sense. one question though TDT how low is that wedge if you could say? and how smooth is the floor of the arena? because a wadge is no use if it can't get under the other bot and if the floors uneven then i don't how low i can make it without getting stuck. _________________ The Falcon watches from the shadows. You would be surprised at the lack of common sense that gets demonstrated by the group of smartest people that I know . After you attend an event or 20 this will become very obvious to you.

Schmackhed's wedge shaves the floor... It shaved a lot of traction paint off the RoboWars arena _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/
