BATTLESHED '07: Barrage In The Garage

BATTLESHED '07: Barrage In The Garage

Ladies and Gentlemen, I am pleased to announce the annual NSW held event for the year and am cordially inviting all to attend.

This prestigious occasion will be held on the rather oddly set date of the 07/07/07. Namely Saturday the 7th of July and continue through to the following day.

The event previously known as the Annihilator has been given a rebuild for the occasion and as such a number of changes are necessary.

Firstly a prize of one half the entry fee of $20 per robot shall be awarded to the winner as well as a custom built trophy by the acclaimed trophy builder Chris "The Sarge". (very nice trophies actually, even if he doesn't think so, we all like them). To the first loser of the tournament a prize of one third the total prize pool. For the robot who shamefully finishes third the paltry sum of 1/6 the prize money shall be his reward.

Secondly the tournament shall consist of a round robin style event for at least 4 rounds, possibly more depending on numbers. This stage of the tournament shall be called "The Gathering". The "creme de la creme" of this motley rabble shall rise to the surface, and prove themselves worthy to proceed to the final showdown. These surviving robots will battle it out elimination style, because "there can be only one".

The remaining unworthy robots will be permitted to partake in the time honored hilarity of Hungry Hungry Robots and settle any old scores.

This tournament is strictly invitational and all competitors must express their intentions to compete no later than three weeks prior to the event. Early RSVP's are recommended and will be accepted immediately.

So who dares take up the challenge? Is your bot robot cream, or robot crap? Who dares to test the mettle of their metal beast? Whose bot has got the lot? Whose cuisine reigns surpreme??? Confused

Very Happy Promotional gold! My KE spinners will be whipping the opposition to a creamy consistency before lightly tossing them and serving them up on bed of steel croutons with a NiMh dressing.

Flame throwers? Just trying to figure which robot to build first, the crowd pleaser or the sensible robot. And of corse my brother will bring Devastator.
And I guess your arena is light weight proof?

oh yeah well its taken all abuse from me and jolt hitting it (mainly jolt Razz) repetedly for numerous events so a lighweight match or two itll survive

well be upgrading arena between now and then so should be fine

im going to try and have a second featherweight done by then so either a friend of mine or girlfriends lil brotha whos into it can mess with on the day also gets numbers up

Big flame weapons may be out depending on how we do the arena.

I'm trying to work out where flame weapons came into it. Jeff has only given permission for the beetleweights to have flame weapons. So at this stage not allowed for featherweights. Lightweights no spinners may be considered if there's enough interest for you to have something to compete against.

don't worry about pleasing the crowd, worry about winning the battle Smile

Hopefully I can make it to this one! Shouldn't be a problem though Smile
