Skeletor, Currently just a POP, is a possibility for the tornado tag team annihilator in July. Just imagine a feather weight dead metal.
Please don’t think I set out to clone Dead metal, much as I really like dead metal, Skeletor originally was going to have a scoopy style dust pan that lifted at the front preventing the victims escape so it is more of an evolution of Scoopy but with its own look and twist, Griping claws.
(Well I have spent a bit of time doing a little bit of welding on some Nexus bots)
One of the things I had planed for the original heavy weight Fragmentor was horizontal claws so the hammer blows would hit in the same place, Ran out of weight points in the feather version there though.
So Skeletor will finish up with the left over claws that I had already started building for the feather Frag and maybe Mel might like the lifting Idea for a new version of Scoopy.
Skeletor is going to be a control bot with modular weapons on a Spin orbital force style arm, probably not as long though.
Weapons will include the normal Ariel seeking saw blade and if I can persuade Brett to come up with the guidance system a drill that homes in on the IF frequency of the opponents Rx.
On and probably the most powerful Kevlar cutting device I can come up with.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I started on building my own version of dead metal for a light weght 2 days aggo or at least getting the parts together.
Will have working font claws and the saw blade mech will work much the same as dead metals as in it will move up over and forward will have 2 evs for the weapon i was going to go evs too for the drive but decied it would be lighter to go scooter motors as i wouldent need a 2 stage chain reduction and i would get more runtime.
Owell it will be fun to have a dead metal family _________________ Tim Team Reaper.

Just having a brake from building Skeletor.
Very pleased with the way its coming together, in my normal style it is a large low density steel tube framed design. So much for the every new bot gets smaller rule.
I like crumple zones air armour lots of space, leverage and materials that I can join together.

Sounds great.
Ill be interested in how your version of dead metal comes out.
Will be starting myn soonish when i get some more parts and may eaven have to buy my own welder for all the many welding bits that come with building something like dead metal lol. _________________ Tim Team Reaper.

Scoopy loves Skeletor
Well, she would love the lifting action on version 2 and love not to have to compete against it ''
Skeletor will be one mighty hard bot to beat and is the first bot Scoopy has ever been frightened about - even though it doesnt have total presence yet...she can feel whats coming!! _________________ It's a She Thing

Note to Brett , Skeletor frequency is 72.310
For the time being Rob will use this radio for Minimower as a filler at events as it is the same as Reboots radio.

Skeletor put in an appearance at the build day, put him through his paces, everything worked until I tried to self-right when he got caught in the thick carpet in the re decorated Holodeck. Haven’t worked out what went wrong yet.
So he has 5 separately controlled motors, 6 radio channels and me driving, not looking good for his chances in a fight.
I should probably make it a high priority to get him going properly and get in a lot of driving practice.

After thrashing till late last night and lots of things left un finished Skeletor managed to get through the first two rounds today getting the better of Orbit who I think taped out as the drill penetrated and magic smoke started to escape.
Next was Battle Damage in a close judges decision, I think he vented some smoke too which might have just swung it my way.
Very exciting driving Skelly, I am happy that the crowd seem to like him.
Got a few repairs to do tonight, the anti vertical spinner pongee sticks were one of the things that didn’t get done and orbit got a big hit in before dying in Skeletor clutches.

yeah skeletor kicks ass.
I faced it today (read my build thread for more info on what happened) and it is one seriously unique and cool robot.
small problems like arms not opening most of match against battle damage but besides that its cool. _________________ Andrew Welch, Team Unconventional Robotics
