After a brief meeting on Saturday with all present it was decided to go ahead with a couple of "Club robots" Russell and myself will put them together and any parts donations would be appreciated.
The idea is to try and encourage visitors to have a go at battling at our regular rounds, so having the robots available will hopefully make it more interesting for them.
Club members who havent got a robot for the day will assist the folks with their robots and explain the finer points of what we do.
The robots are not really for the members use but , members can use them.
A $20 fee will be charged for use of the robots by club members and it will need to be returned repaired and running for the next round.
Visitors wishing to use the club robots will not be charged and repairs to the robots after these events will be shared amongst members.
A new floor was discussed and it was decided that once annual fees have been payed a new floor will be added. Cheers Chris _________________ Photos - http://community.webshots.com/album/154092733uokpXC

I have put aside four 18V drill motors complete with mounts, a 75Mhz radio with several spares and the old nicad packs from Jolt - should form the basis of a good pushy bot. I might be able to mod the gearboxes to make them last longer as well. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

Once I finish a new robot, I might donate yamum as a club robot. It's not very effective but quite strong and will accept two sets of drill cells and servo switching easily. I'll try to get the time to sort it out. _________________ ( •_•)
RC bits and pieces will be needed also ,preferably Futuba so its running on one type of system.
Club posters were ordered today and should be done in 2 or 3 days
Club cards have also been ordered and should follow a couple of days later.
250 A4 posters and 500 buisness cards.
just another reminder ,club membership fees are now due and swift payment would be appreciated.cheers chris _________________ Photos - http://community.webshots.com/album/154092733uokpXC

First club bot
I scrounged up the insides for a club bot today:
Four all metal gear drill motors, 24V worth of CP3600 Nicads, 75MHz radio, Colson wheels with hubs, Ti wedges, some giant aluminium pipe for a backbone and to top it off, I am loaning Jolt's dependable electronics to the project until I get around to rebuilding Jolt later in the year.
Now we just need some steel to wrap around the outsides for a dependable wedge or brick.
I have a bit of an idea for a two wheel bot with Oatley motors in the works as well, but not many parts on hand yet. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

Should be good, he's pretty reliable.
I'll be bringing some interesting tibits for an idea I need to try out... but can't really haul all my donation robot gear on the train. _________________ ( •_•)
