Good, a few more interstate bots to fight, It’s a long way to go to finish up fighting other Vic bots. Smile

Its fighting your own robots that you always seem to do Gary. If you didn't build them so well....

Yeah we are having a bit of a road trip. Thinking of staying at somewhere to stay as well.

The arena will not be open until Friday morning. We won't be tearing the covers of the polycarb until then.

Well one of the attractions of this event is having the whole 2 day round robin without having to fight ourselves, Smile
Daniel from the build thread.
“Bring which ever robot you want and as many as you want. We don't mind. The more the better. I can easily setup the round robin so that you won't fight your own robots. That's a 2 second job.

Um, I don't want to complain, but isn't that rigging the fight schedule? In a full round robin, everyone has a match against everyone else, so organising for one team not to fight their other bots when the rest of us do fight them is a huge advantage to that team.

I am all for picking the first schedule so that bots from the same team (or state) don't fight each other, but eventually all bots should face each other. If nothing else, the crowd deserves to see Bender VS Badger.

Well its not imposable that day 3 we will end up fighting ourselves. Smile

At least this way we wont be accused of not trying hard enough and letting one of our bots through.

Last time I checked there were more Vic bots than NSW and Qld combined so even that presents problems as far as rigging the draw.

The way I figure it the Kkeerroo’s need to put on a show that will satisfy the festival people.

When there were lightweights we were going to bring 2 or 3 of them.
Not a lot of interest in lightweights so double up on the feathers.

The attrition rate could be quite high with the high DPS bots like the Sydney spinner team and I do wont the event to be a success and my normal way to try and make an event a success is to show up with lots of bots.

would there even be time for a full round robin?
23 bots is a lot of fights for a full complete round robin.
