I did a full offsite backup yesterday,
The host supposedly does an onsite daily backup and I will do another offsite one tomorrow night before the migration on the 25th _________________ Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people

The current one is having some apparently intractable email/dns issues, as well as the current hosting provider has been bought out by another company, thats wants to shut down the old companies apparently "outdated server fleet" so its new server time for us..
During this time (Which could be up to 24hrs apparently), you may see some "Under Maintenaince" responses when you try and browse.
Remain Calm, Lie Down on the floor, and Dont Panic..
Assuming all goes well, normal transmission will resume shortly. (and I have a full site backup as well, just incase it all ends up in the /dev/null bit-bucket by mistake)

Heh, I warned you not to panic..
Seems like the migration has all gone smooth.. Is it just my imagination or does the forum pages seem to be loading a lot faster now on the new server ? _________________ Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people

I was going to comment, page loads are < a second now. On the old server I would open all the new posts and if there weren't more than 4 or 5 I'd have opened all the new tabs before the first had finished loading, IE page load of 4-6 seconds.
The upgrade was definitely worth what you paid for it. _________________ Mechanical engineers build weapons, civil engineers build targets

Always had that problem since the forums were first put up. I'm just use to coding the tags manually these days. _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/
