I was just wondering what the cheapest / best motor gearbox wheel combo is these days. I was gunna just go red wheels + drills but I am rather reluctant to pay $30 for a drill.

Found the stray pinion tho so besides a plastic fan in one motor disintergrating and falling out in pieces everything is there to rebuild the drives Smile

On another note anybody know where you would go to get largeish o rings, for my beetle i wanna get large o rings and lathe a groove into some ali stock as pulleys

thanks

Apparently the unit is based on an actual Leopard and in that assortment of gears are 3 diffs, This would be so good, tank steering for tanks actually sucks.

Electric lifter control

I just realised I don't have much of an idea about controlling the position of the arm on my electric lifter sportsman bot. It needs to turn the arm about 90 degrees and is capable of doing some real damage if it overruns it's limits. I don't really need full servo control, something with limit switches would od just fine.

The 2 ideas I had were a jumbo servo controller, which would work with minimal setup, or a regular Victor ESC and a custom weapon controller with limit switches and a MCU - any other ways to do this?
