The flyers are printed, they are aimed more at potential builders since that is what this SciFi event will probably attract. You can check out the PDF here:

DOH! I did say it was after lunch at the pub perhaps I can hand write 1.3 in there...
BTW, all the switches and I2C breakout boards arrived today; Sunday will be really busy around here.

Love those new product posts, that's the first thing I look at on a Saturday! The LED strips are a great price, but I am not sure what I would do with them.

The Sci-Fi Sydney event went off very well, with a good crowd for most of the day. I thought the event was mainly run by the Droid builders group, but there were major contributions from cosplay and comics fan groups as well as the Roboteshop e-store.
We had the new ant arena with Angus's new bot batting around stuff - it turns out that drink bottle tops make great micro hockey pucks and the demos got a goo crowd. Andrew's power sofa was as big hit and actually made donation money with everyone from kids to pensioners wanting a ride.
The table with arena, video reel, Scissorhands and Warning on display:
We had all sorts for visitors interested in robotic extermination:
Angus's new ant needed several recharges due to popularity:

Indeed! Today was good fun. I hope we inspired a few people to come online and check out the community. Quite a few fliers got handed out in the end and I talked to lots of interested people. _________________ ( •_•)

We also showed that we can put on a demo at fairly short notice. Dave Everett from the R2 builders club thinks we would do really well at Supanova. Its probably a bit late to try that this year, but it is something to aim for next year.
