Hey all,

Took the electric sofa to supanova yesterday.

Everybody LOVED it. Every second person i drove past laughed or said they wanted one or said it was an amazing idea.

Security people to general attendees to even two disabled people in manual wheelchairs gave me such positive comments about the project.


Wish i got more photos but just wanted to share what i did gather.

Huge thanks to Sydney robot workshop and the r2d2 builders Australia but generally being helpful and assisting me get in and what not.

Was an absolute riot and improvements will be made to this for next year and all future conventions or anime/sci fi nerd gatherings which will let me come and play

HAHA yeah i went and cosplayed sunday it was fking tops, best time ive had in many years.

Friends and i managed to lynch the poor r2d2 thing again hahaa

I almost died tho when we found the real sailor moon aka 50 year old japanese business man in the costume XD was on my hands and knees in tears. i hope someone puts a pic up on facebook.

prob do both days next year as got such a good response saturday.

Upgrades to be done to sofa chair include make it radio controlled, electric foot recliner, cupholder and some bigger wheels

that and maybe make it stealth so u cant even see the drive system. ha ha, somebody goes to sit down suddenly it takes off with them in it. ha ha ha ha

Modern cheapo recliner chairs usually have a metal frame and lots of room underneath, so the drive could easily be stealth with a bit of hacking.
