I think its the standard 3Ch one from HK. I think you can program the failsafe on them. But I have had them not work in the past. Though its the Receiver not the Transmitter which does the failsafing so in theory you could use the 6CH receiver with that radio.

I bought some of the Spektrum specific ones for just under $10us
No case, with pins coming out the end.
They failsafe well, but if I can get the same thing for under $6, then wtf am I doing???
I also bought 1 of those 6 ch transmitters, and while I haven't used it yet, the screen is much nicer than my d6X and it programs in pretty much the same way.
I wish it had a charger and port, but ...so it goes

I have to say, these are the new standard for antweight RX's in my books (I'll be fitting all my ants with them). A quick swap of servo leads to the
Micro 1.25mm
leads and you can make everything plug and play still.

I find it just as good as my DX6. Once I worked out how to setup the custom mixing for use in robots (not exactly a documented thing for a TX designed for planes/helis) it has been nothing but simple to use. Menu system is easy enough to learn and simple enough to change critical things when in a rush (servo reversing before a fight). Having the digital and sub trims made it very easy to get the 2X10A esc's to trim up nicely in Little Red Flipper and dual rates helped bring in additional level of control when desired.
I think it would be a great investment for someone like yourself Philip, as with all the robots you have, you could simply apply one of the model memories to each robot and save you from having to adjust trims and switches between robots. At the next event, you can have a tinker with mine if your wanting a hands on test before buying. _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/
Deal extreme 3d printer I'm pretty sure I'd rather pay a bit more for something like the ones Angus's company sells, but this is certainly cheapish _________________ <Patrician|Away> what does your robot do, sam

Wait what where is that? I noticed the makerbot tractor on the first photo too. _________________ Steven Martin
