I would like to enter but I know I really shouldn't. May see if I can make a team. _________________ Steven Martin

I'm still a bit tentative, ill be tight on both time and money with impending sale of house etc, but my intention is to go, one feather, unsure about an ant... bit sad about the beetles _________________ <Patrician|Away> what does your robot do, sam

Well TBH if we cut it down to two days, we have to lose something. I think the ants and feathers were much more entertaining than the beetles last year. And how many beetle fights has there been this year? I am keen for a beetle rumble as filler if people want to bring their working ones but realistically we can't field a comp.
It's cool, I totally understand. It's just my personal preference and the fact that I don't have a running ant at the mo _________________ <Patrician|Away> what does your robot do, sam

Hi, Is this open to international teams? I have a team of robot builders from NZ who would love to come across to compete.
Also, when does registration close? I couldn't find it on the site, but would be useful to know to work out finances/if we can afford it this year.
Thanks!
Jack
EDIT: Found the registration date, so dw about that
Sure think you would be our first international competitors. If you need a hand with accom or details on anything PM me. _________________ Steven Martin

Thanks Marto! I will pm you in the near future if we decide to make the trip, we would really love to but just need to find the funding to travel across (a lot of our team members already travel to USA annually to compete in the VEX Robotics world championships, so we will have a discussion and see).
Thanks again.

What's the rules this year on entering more than one bot per team? I realised I don't have all that much work to do on my wedge bot, so two Overkill entries is a possibility.
Entries are fine as long as you have a backup driver nominated. For one of the robots if you need to fight each other. _________________ Steven Martin

What are peoples plans for the weekend? Given its a long weekend are people heading back Monday or Sunday? Would people be interested in a dinner and/or drinks one of these nights.

Definitely not hurrying back. BTW: will there be any netball championships this year?

Wouldn't it be better to do dinner/drinks Sat night? Or are you predicting too much exhaustion _________________ <Patrician|Away> what does your robot do, sam
