There is still heaps we can do without having the rest of the tiles.

tommorow it is Very Happy what sort of things do you want doing?

ive got cobra here and it needs a run so ill bring that along. i havent got the nicad mounts made yet so ill use the crud SLAs

then we can see how much traction the floor really has Cool

as for the tiles i can probably grab 10-15. but it would be probably be easier for nick to just get them all in one load.

Good news! If Chris is at work tomorrow morning, I will get the tiles and MDF. I have to go that way for a number of Basilisk and Orbit parts anyway. I won't be able to stop & help out with the arena, just the delivery as I have to be in Nth Sydney by 12.

@Nick; That would be terrific!

@Glen: Looks like we might be installing walls!

@Waddy: Looks like we will still be busy thursday!

Even if we don`t get tiles tomorrow we can still build the brackets as we have two tiles to test fit and when complete the tiles just slide into position.
Otherwise, Iv`e been shopping at all the $2 shops and am painting and building up the insane reactor on the back wall.

@ Wayde - I will be just across from The Optus building tomorrow, so I could definitely drop in.

http://robowars.org/forum/album_pic.php?pic_id=507
http://robowars.org/forum/album_pic.php?pic_id=508

first picture is the wall and its supports along with the big beam across the wall panels.

just 24 more of those panels to go and where done! brace yourself waddle Twisted Evil

second pic is the arena itself with the steel flooring.

speaking of i dont think traction paint is needed really. i took cobra for a burn around the arena and the traction is fine, no worse than robowars and i think having a floor not as grippy as before will really make it easier on peoples drives and i guess no one has any advantage over anyone else as where all playing on the same playing field Smile plus how can anyone not love those huge powerslides, yeehaw!!
