Glen - the voice of reason Smile . Personally, I didn't have a problem with the scoring method except for that one incident. For optional improvements, I suggest nominating the judges before the match starts and to specifically pick people without bias as judges. Fewer judges would probably be better - the US comps usually seem to have three.

It would be good to have an official way to dispute a decision if you felt it was really wrong, which should avoid shouting matches.

the nominating the judges before is a good way to do things i reckon. also the biased judge thing is a must, i know we tried to do it last season but it always happened,

i know i had to fight off the urge to make a bias decision when it was singularity vs someone else.. cant remember who it was. (p.s. i didnt make the bias decision in the end Razz )

that official dispute thing could work, it would fall in with chris' idea to have video playbacks if required. i guess a time limit is a must as well, say you must dispute it in before the start of the next round?

and on a joking note, is it agreed that the looser (or victory challeneged) MUST fight wayde with the shock tanks Laughing

come on guys i know exactally how you solve the disputes have a timed match against me with the shock tanks if they loose than who ever takes the longest to loose wins the match however if they win its the quickest win takes the match Very Happy how does every one think about that lol (some how i think i would win all the matches im in by default lol)

ok now that seems unrealistic but in all seriousness the voting system we have is fine as for the laptop once i get some money together i will bring it i just thought it would be good to have it so that we can keep a perfect (well as close as possible) record of points win's vs losses wins vs bots points ladder and history of the robots i thought it would just be a great way to know how you fare against certain things and the such

@andrew no problem i done it for my self as much i was just tyred of all the B.S lol i guess if i looked upon myself last year i woulda been in on it thinking about it i have grown up a lot in that respect i guess lol meh back to topic

Finally, are we getting back on track!?
Most of the issues have been adressed and agreed on but as happens when the threads get full of crap, the posts get lost in the back pages.

There is a separate thread for NSW judging season 2. Please read and make comments.

There is still a few jobs we can do today on the arena for whoever is interested.

See yas,

Jeff.

I must affirm what Jeff has just said. Most of the things raised have been agreed and arranged already.

The dual points system was decided on. And I believe the deciding of judges beforehand was agreed, although there are still some kinks that need sorting out, but that belongs in the judging thread as Jeff said.

On another note, because I have moved to Sydney to live permenantly I wanted to get more involved in the events. Unfortunately I cannot guarantee my attendance for every event during the year due to work, so I therefore don't feel I should get involved any more than just a competitor.
However, I did enjoy doing the judging and coordination on the day of the Annihilator and the atmosphere of the bigger event.

So what I'm suggesting is that I would like to organise the annihilator for this year. What do people think?
