Pictures/videos for uni assignment

I'm currently working on an assignment where I need to write a lesson plan for a design and technology class. My topic for the fictitious lesson is to have the students decide on the best material to use to construct a combat robot. What I need is a few photos of robots that have been made from different materials. I need one example of the material succeeding and another of it failing. I would also like some good video examples just for fun.
The materials I'm looking at are:
Wood
HPDE / Nylon ect
Polycarb
Fibreglass / Carbon Fibre
Rubber
Aluminium
Steel
Titanium
Anything more exotic
Combinations

Should be a fun task for you guys.

Here's some - mostly fails.

Aluminium

Failing - welds cracking and frame bending (too thin too low grade) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v424/dyrodium/PIC_0012.jpg

Steel
Succeeding http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v424/dyrodium/temporary_zps44e0e280.jpg

Failing (too thin + mild steel bends easy)

Using this to succeed - air armour with Steel tube http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v424/dyrodium/P1000020.jpg

Combinations

thin steel backed with UHMW - hard surface and uhmw stops steel deforming http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v424/dyrodium/P8270267.jpg
