Seen highlights and read reviews so haven't been able to view the episode properly but there were some great fights straight off the bat which is a sign of better to come.
Also saw the results of course. Better luck next time guys, Cpt Shrederator did a real number on ya.

I am really surprised that Deathroll didn't flip or even lift Captain Shrederator! next time, more wheel armour & less tail. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

I must say, you guys did a great job putting Deathroll back together for display at Vivid.
Also, Owen was stoked to see people he'd met being on TV at Battlebots
That was different damage we had spares. Watch the promo clips for Deathroll very closely to work out who did it. _________________ Steven Martin

Well done for getting a super heavy weight built!
I loved the Deathroll Vs Captain Shrederator fight, it really took a lot to take Deathroll down.
Nick's comment above got me thinking though, so I rewatched the fight a few times and I think its down to the match up, Captain Shrederator is a very low bot and it looks like its getting under Deathrolls spinner:
Or at least its getting the first hit in with the lower blades on its spinning shell, before it gets hit by Deathrolls spinner and I think that made the difference
But well done again guys! I aspire to build a bot that big some day!
It is quite low. But really not a lot that could be done. We would still hit him as tip is about inline with where the wedge-lets touch the floor.
Apparently it had electromagnets. I didn't know anything about this but would explain why he didn't bounce around anywhere near as much as last year. In reality with the Gyro effects as soon as we missed that first hit we were in trouble with our very square edges.
Not an ideal draw but for first attempt I was not really disappointed. _________________ Steven Martin

Good point, when he hit your side at one point Deathroll was pushed much further. Electromagnets would definitely help with that, actually, not a bad idea for a full body spinner, although I could see them ripping a bot apart if built and used incorrectly.
It was definitely a great fight! I would be really keen to see you re-enter for 2017. I know if it happens again I will be attending, even though I'll most likely only be spectating

I think the debris they were talking about straight up was the thick layer of paint we peeled off the floor with the wedgelets
In hindsight we would have run more clearance on the wedgelets. _________________ Steven Martin

Was so cool seeing our fight in the show-Was our favovorite fight of the first episode-I reckon we could have had wider wegdes that protected the front corners and wedglets with slack so they drag on the floor- so they wedge better- i was shocked at how easily the 5mm hardox we had protecting the hub wheels got ripped open- was so damn cool though- and it held up long enough for a great fight- maybe we need more than zipties holding our croc head on to ha ha 😎 _________________ Miles Blow - Julie Pitts

The Etek weapon motor also took a beating - at the end of the fight it looked like the brushes were damaged and the motor was almost on fire. Maybe a brushless version would do better? _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

Ha ha yeah but it did come back to life-those eteks are popular - i think they must battle harden them- there is only a thin cast ali armature that hold both halves of the motor together- they must beef them up or maybe have the motor shock mounted - yeah brushless would be lighter to _________________ Miles Blow - Julie Pitts
