As many of us are now glued to Facebook constantly I thought a group there would be a good addition to the discussions. The old page has been taken down and there is links to other Aus clubs in there.
Personally I still prefer the good old forum but its a bit of a barrier to entry for new people and these youths of the younger generation. Damn I am getting old.
Anyway me and Angus are currently admins might add a few more if it grows. _________________ Steven Martin

Forum is still good as stuff stays around and gets indexed by the googles. _________________ Mechanical engineers build weapons, civil engineers build targets
I avoid FaceBook and do not have an account on purpose. It would be a shame to have to give my personal life over to the Zuckerberg just to find out about what's going on with the robots.

create a fake account, worst case it gets blocked, make a new one QED ;->
I don't see the facebook thing becoming the place for "formal" robot talk if you will, but it is easy for chatting _________________ Mechanical engineers build weapons, civil engineers build targets

Facebook is really good for drawing attention to events and the sport in general as it can easily attract non-fans through sharing of posts via the builders personal accounts.
It will never replace the forums as a place for cold hard facts and historic data.
If your scared of Facebook, create 'John Smith' account with no personal data loaded on it. _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

I think people post more on facebook because its easier to post photos there- here you need to upload then copy a link from a third party server... so much effort ha ha _________________ Miles Blow - Julie Pitts
